The judge presiding over former President Donald Trump's
hush money case sided with his legal team in a ruling Thursday that will give
them access to jurors' private information, according to a Newsweek report.
The outlet reported that Judge Juan Merchán's ruling comes
after more than one potential juror expressed concern that their private
information had been leaked and their identity revealed.
"Merchan sided with Trump's lawyers on Thursday,
agreeing that it was 'necessary' for the lawyers to know the current and former
employers of potential jurors, but that those details did not need to be
published by the press." , says the report.
Prosecutors at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office
proposed that jurors refrain from answering two of the “most identifying”
questions on the list. These questions, called 3A and 3, ask about the juror's
current and former employers, respectively. /Cbrief
