This May 2, Trump's publications that the court considers went against the silence order will be addressed

Judge Juan Merchán's decision to declare that former President Donald Trump had violated the gag order came with a deadline and on Tuesday he deleted several posts from his Truth Social account.

This is the first criminal trial of a former US president, with 34 felony counts against him for allegedly falsifying business records about hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

The former president has gained notoriety for his alleged habit of falling asleep – at least four times so far – and for his continuous complaints about Merchán's silence order.

Todd Blanche, Trump's lawyer, came under heavy criticism from Merchan during a hearing last week on the gag order. Merchan became agitated and even threatened to “have him fired from court” at one point. The May 2 hearing will address additional posts and comments made by Trump that prosecutors say went against the gag order.   /CBrief
