The Madrid Hospital Gregorio Marañón coordinates a study in
which several Spanish centers evaluate SARS-CoV-2 infection in pregnant women
and newborns and try to find out if there is transmission from mother to child.
The project, which the hospital reports on Monday, has been
called Gesneo-Covid and will analyze more than 150 mother-newborn couples with
confirmed infection during pregnancy with SARS-CoV-2, which is the virus that
triggers the disease COVID-19. EFE
