Mexican senator publicly denounces State persecution against opposition member Xóchitl Gálvez

Given the anticipated behavior of the Mexican government attacking the opposition Xóchitl Gálvez, Emilio Alvarez Icaza Longoria reacted by asking that the factory of insults and defamations against the potential opposition presidential candidate be stopped.

"I want to warn with concern and emergency the levels of political violence that are being exercised against Xóchitl Gálvez.

"The President of the Republic, violating the Law and violating the provisions of the electoral authority, time and again refers to her in derogatory and aggressive terms," he noted.

Through a video broadcast on his social networks, the Senator added: "This is followed by a whole barrage of governors and political or network operators with terms of alarming violence.

What Xóchitl Gálvez is experiencing is one of the most complete expressions of gender political violence against him; "They invent crimes against her, they insult her, they attack her, not only because they are afraid of her, but because it is the first expression of a State Election."

"They are making factious use of State institutions... The president is responsible for any aggression against him. The governors and MORENA militants who attack her with insults are already responsible.

We cannot allow these types of attacks to continue. That happens because they are afraid of it...", he added.

Finally, he assured that with everything and the displeasure that may cause President López and MORENA, they will be out of power in 2024: "Whether they like it or not, we are going to remove them from the National Palace. Because Xóchitl is going."
