Cuauhtémoc, a former soccer player, seeks to govern Mexico City

A retired soccer player named Cuauhtémoc Blanco intends to govern the Mexican capital, after unsuccessfully venturing into national politics, supported by the official party, MORENA.

In an interview with the Morelos media, the former soccer player was questioned about his possible interest in moving to Mexico City to seek to govern it: "I had already told you, yes, but it wasn't the time, now it is the time." , said.

Blanco previously served as municipal president of Cuarnavaca, (in the center of the country), leaving a bad taste in the citizens' mouths.

However, in the 2018 elections, he managed to win the governorship of Morelos, a state that is reported to be one of the most disorganized, without results, insecurity and alleged acts of corruption.

Today, a few months after finishing his term as governor, Cuauhtémoc Blanco is getting ready to appear before the population of Mexico City, hoping that he will be the first candidate and, supported by MORENA, will become the next Head of Government.
