Megyn Kelly questions Trump about the role Fauci was allowed to play during the 19 pandemic

In her first interview with former President Donald Trump in seven years, SiriusXM podcast host Megyn Kelly singled him out on a number of topics he probably wouldn't be comfortable discussing.

One of them is former immunologist Dr. Anthony Fauci, who became the face of the COVID-19 pandemic during the Trump administration.

During the interview, the former Fox News star brought up Trump's previous comments about why he didn't fire Fauci as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, at one point stating, "I didn't listen to it too much."

Kelly weighed in, noting that "not only did they not fire Fauci, who is loathed by many, not just millions of Republicans in particular, but also some Democrats, but they made him a star."

“This is the criticism of you that made you the face of the White House Coronavirus Task Force,” Kelly said. “That he was at every press conference, that he was leading the pack for the administration on COVID and that you actually gave him a presidential commendation before he left office. Wouldn't you like to repeat that?
