Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made headlines again
recently when she announced her plans to seek another term.
During an interview on MSNBC, Pelosi told host Nicole
Wallace that she decided to seek another term because she is “excited about the
great stimulus to continue resting in my great city of San Francisco.
“You have the White House behind you. I have houses in San
Francisco behind me and that is my strength. And the needs our city has right
now really demand that I serve one more term. I had the privilege of
representing San Francisco for a long time. I have been given the freedom to
serve as Speaker, as a leader for more than 20 years, and testify well, visit
87 countries and serve 30 years on the intelligence committee. All those
things. At the same time, representing my district was essential to my service.
Thanks to them for that. “I have agreed to stay for another term to help meet
the needs we have now,” Pelosi said.
