With total disapproval from its employees, CVS Health Corp.
joined a group of US companies that require their employees to have contact
with employees who are vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Nurses and other employees who interact with patients, as well
as all corporate staff, should be vaccinated by Oct. 31, the company said
Monday, the AP reported.
Pharmacists will have until November 30 to be vaccinated.
CVS, which is based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, said they
could add other jobs to the mandatory vaccination list.
The company's more than 300,000 workers include more than
40,000 doctors, pharmacists, nurses and nursing assistants, according to the
firm.
