Chavista system destroyed Venezuela's agri-food system

Jhoender Jiménez, head of the Agrifood Movement of the Voluntad Popular (VP) party, denounced that for more than 20 years the "Chavista" regime was in charge of designing a statist and anti-productive model that destroyed the agri-food system in Venezuela.

“The regime has designed a model for the agri-food system of very efficient absolute control, which has its starting point in the spurious National Assembly as its legal basis, an extensive network of bureaucracy in its ministries, among another long list of related institutions, among which is also part of the Armed Forces, ”Jiménez pointed out.

The political leader of VP explained that the military and police are concentrated around the production of cereals in the plains states, while members of the guerrillas do so with milk and meat in the states of Apure, Zulia and Táchira. He specified that there are "mega-gangs" on the eastern coast of the country, especially in Sucre state, in fishing and cocoa production activities.
