As of this Monday, Cubans will not be able to deposit dollars
in cash in the island's banks, with the entry into force of a measure that
provokes uncertainty and that has revalued the euro within the country.
The Cuban authorities announced this measure on June 10,
arguing that the United States sanctions prevent them from taking the dollars
collected on the island abroad.
