Trump Rejects Democratic Demands on Immigrant Care and Transgender Interventions in Budget Negotiations

President Donald Trump confirmed that he will not agree to the conditions put forward by the Democratic bloc in federal budget talks, even if it means risking a government shutdown.

According to his statements, Democrats have requested that the funding bill include funding for gender reassignment surgeries for minors and to expand health care coverage for undocumented immigrants, points that the former president described as "excessive and unacceptable."

"They asked us to do something totally unreasonable. They never change; they want to give money away to undocumented immigrants... and we don't want to do that," Trump said when asked about the negotiations.

The issue has ignited a new focus of political confrontation in Washington, where disputes over public spending often become weapons of pressure between the White House and Congress. For Democrats, these measures represent compromises on human rights and access to healthcare, despite being a position widely supported by citizens; for Trump and his Republican allies, however, they represent ideological concessions that impose an unacceptable cost on the treasury.

Analysts point out that this episode reinforces Trump's strategy of positioning himself as a defender of cultural and fiscal conservatism in the face of what he describes as "progressive excesses." However, the possibility of a new government shutdown is causing concern among federal agencies, public workers, and economic sectors dependent on the federal budget.
