The Canadian government announced it is reviewing its
diplomatic relationship with Israel following the recent attacks on Qatari
soil, an event that has generated international concern and could redefine
Ottawa's role in the complex political landscape of the Middle East.
The incidents in Qatar, which have left civilian casualties
and significant property damage, have been attributed to forces linked to the
Israeli offensive in the region. Although Israel has not officially confirmed
its involvement, multiple international organizations and media outlets have
pointed to the Israeli state's direct responsibility in the operations. The
situation is aggravated by the fact that Qatar is considered a key player in
regional negotiations, playing an active role in conflict mediation and
providing humanitarian support to Gaza.
Canada's foreign minister stated that the country is
