BRAZIL – After a presidential election marked by
irregularities, public discontent over the fact that their votes were not
respected lingered.
President Lula da Silva (PT) is reportedly concerned about a
Trump-style pro-Bolsonaro rally scheduled for March 16 on Copacabana Beach in
Rio de Janeiro. Up to 700,000 people are expected to attend.
Bolsonaro plans to hold a series of demonstrations across
Brazil in support of the Amnesty Law (PL) for those detained on January 8. A
caravan is expected to travel through several regions, from the southeast to
the northeast.
