A former federal prosecutor said over the weekend that Rep.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and others who provide advice to illegal
immigrants on how they can avoid being detained by Immigration and Customs
Enforcement (ICE) agents are “toeing the line” legally, meaning she could find
herself in legal trouble.
Jonathan Fahey's comments come after the Trump
administration's border czar Tom Homan repeatedly warned 'AOC' last week that
she could be violating federal law by preventing ICE agents from doing their
jobs, adding that he is currently seeking a legal opinion from the Justice
Department on what constitutes an "impedance," which could be a
felony.
Fox News host Bryan Llenas asked Fahey during a segment
Friday if Homan “is right?”
“He's right here, just for the bigger picture. You know,
when you compare what he's doing, which is trying to get rid of the most
serious criminals who are also illegal aliens, and she's fighting tooth and
nail to keep them here,” Fahey began.
