Everything seems to indicate that Tunisia has the
opportunity to move on to building its democracy.
This is because the Islamist Ennahda party, the main force
in the Tunisian Parliament and partner of the head of government dismissed by
the president, Kais Said, claimed to be prepared to hold early elections in
order to protect democracy and avoid an autocratic regime.
"Ennahda observes with great concern the current
insecurity and confusion that the coup has created in the country," he
said in a statement.
