This week begins, with new data on the increase in
corruption within the current federal administration in Mexico, headed by
President Andrés MAnuel López
The president, who is also known as AMLO, has kept a promise
to end the enrichment of officials in shady deals that are interpreted as
corruption.
However, in fact, administrative croats continue to be
uncovered that could turn the current national administration into the most
corrupt of the modern era of the Latin American country.
The organization Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity
(MCCI) revealed on Monday direct contracts for 797 million pesos (almost 40
million dollars) between a network of shell companies and an organism of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader).
The association reported that Seguridad Alimentaria Mexicana
(Segalmex), a decentralized body dependent on Sader, directly awarded this
amount between 2019 and 2020 to a group of companies with shareholders and
operators that have participated in "millionaire deviations" of the
Government.
