Cuban regime uses "humanitarian aid" from like-minded countries to try to silence the people

The Cuban regime is trying to silence the protests that do not cease on the island, against Castroism that has morally annihilated four generations.

The attempt is made using the call: humanitarian aid, which comes from related countries, consisting of food and energy.

On Friday, July 23, the Cuban television newscast reported on the state distribution of an additional three pounds of rice per person and a laundry soap per household or ration book, to be distributed in August.

The usual per capita rice quota for a month is seven pounds. Generally, Cubans are not enough because it is the main food they consume. They cannot substitute it for others due to the acute shortage of all kinds of products. The sale offer released in the markets is literally non-existent in many territories of the country.

In that context, that three-pound increase is unprecedented this year. The only precedent was just an extra pound in May. For many, it is a reaction to the popular protests of July 11.

Apparently, the Díaz-Canel regime, in a campaign to distort the perception of what happened on July 11, tries to calm the discontent and the disgust of the people with its administration and with Castroism with crumbs.
