Duque calls for efforts to solve Venezuela

"Venezuela opened its arms to millions of Colombians in moments of distress and difficulty, and today our country reiterates that brotherhood," said the President of Colombia, Iván Duque, during an act to commemorate Refugee Day.

The Colombian president asked the international community not to stop looking for a solution to the serious crisis that Venezuela is going through, which has been caused by the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro.

Duque stressed that the migratory phenomenon that exists in Latin America is the most serious in the world and that the Venezuelan crisis overwhelms that of Syria or Sudan.
