The ICC identifies "measures that violate rights" in the Mexican hydrocarbon reform

Distrust in investing in Mexico increases after the reforms to the Hydrocarbons Law and today it is exhibited by one of the most important chambers of commerce in the world.

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) expressed its concern on Thursday about the new reform to the Mexican Hydrocarbons Law, which allows the Government to take control of private facilities for "security or national interest."

The ICC denounced "measures that violate rights" within the reform published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to combat gasoline smuggling and strengthen Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
