Texas City Lubbock Bans Abortion

Anyone convicted of helping kill an unborn baby in a Northwest Texas town will face dire consequences.

The city of Lubbock recently passed a new ordinance that bans abortion procedures and declares a "sanctuary city for the unborn" throughout Hub City, about 324 miles northwest of Dallas.

"To protect the health and well-being of all residents of the city of Lubbock, including the unborn, the City Council considers it necessary to prohibit abortion under city law and establish sanctions and remedies," says the text of the ordinance.

“The Lubbock City Council deems it necessary to supplement… existing prohibitions in state law on abortion-murder with its own prohibitions on abortion, and empower city officials and private citizens to enforce these prohibitions to the fullest extent. allowed by state law and the Constitution ”.
