Official who convinced Obama to invade Libya in 2011, now in Biden's cabinet

Samantha Power, an Obama-era acquaintance, was confirmed by the Senate with embarrassing Republican support. Power boasts fierce anti-Semitism and fervent military interventionism to his credit.

This week, the United States Senate confirmed who will be the new head of the United States Agency for International Development during the administration of President Joe Biden: former Obama official and war correspondent, Samantha Power.

This agency, commonly abbreviated as USAID, is in charge of providing and distributing most of the resources that the United States allocates as aid to foreign countries.

During the times of former President Barack Obama's government, USAID played a leading role in the military interventions that Obama decided to carry out in the Middle East, as well as to destabilize the governments of that region that were not to the liking of the Democratic president.
