In Alaska, a resident's home was raided on Wednesday, April 28, when federal agents claimed they were looking for the laptop of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, which was stolen during the Capitol riots on April 6. January.
The home's owners, Paul and Marilyn Hueper, told KSRM that
agents mistook her for a woman who entered the Capitol and was involved in the
theft of the Speaker of the House's laptop from her office that day.
Following the court order, FBI agents seized several
electronic devices belonging to the couple, including their laptops and a
mobile phone, AP reported. Agents also searched Paul Hueper's phone, but did
not confiscate it.
Marilyn reminded KSRM that the FBI entered her house without
taking any precautions, pointing guns, and that they handcuffed the couple, as
well as the rest who were sleeping. The officers claimed that they had knocked
on the door but received no response, prompting a sudden break-in.
When Marilyn met with federal agents, they told her they had
photos of her appearing inside the Capitol as chaos broke out, which they
compared to her images on social media and concluded her identity. She and her
husband refused to accept her claims.
