Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Tuesday delivered a message to
the Chinese communist regime's army ordering that it should focus on
strengthening combat readiness over the next five years, arguing that
uncertainties at home and abroad could create scenarios. conflict and assuming
that the regime would be willing to carry out armed confrontations in the short
term.
Xi, who heads the Central Military Commission, stated in a
panel discussion attended by representatives of the armed forces during the
annual legislative sessions in Beijing, that China's military must be
"prepared to respond" to complex situations as the country faces
security challenges.
"The current security situation in our country is
largely unstable and uncertain," Xi said, as reported by the South China
Morning Post. “The entire military must coordinate the relationship between
capacity development and combat readiness, be prepared to respond to a variety
of complex and difficult situations at any time, resolutely safeguard national
sovereignty, security, and development interests, and to provide strong support
for the integral construction of a modern socialist state ”.
According to Xi's statements, ensuring that the Chinese
armed forces are prepared for war should be the main objective of the country's
military department, which caught the attention of the international community
and raised red flags.
