The number of people in Belgrade who are dissatisfied with
the way the national government faces the pandemic grows.
This Wednesday, again, BEgrad was the scene of riots by
thousands of people who insist that their government restrictions are not
necessary and, as happened in the United States several weeks ago, people
believe that their rights are being limited to freedom.
The non-conformists assure that the management of the
coronavirus pandemic by the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic, and the
executive of the conservative populist SNS party, has been wrong.
On the other hand, part of the international community
considers the government's response, which brought hundreds of riot police and
also armored cars to the center of Belgrade, to be excessive. He also used
large amounts of tear gas to disperse protesters.
