The Secretary of State for Tourism of Spain, Isabel María
Oliver, has opted to take advantage of the “big bump in the road” that the
coronavirus has brought about to take “a leap in quality in terms of
sustainability and digitization” and move towards a new model of tourism.
At the closing of the first “Virtual Summit Barcelona 2020”,
Oliver mentioned the need to move towards a tourism model aligned with the
United Nations sustainable development goals, based on sustainability, the
digital transformation of companies and destinations, accessibility and
governance.
