China's aviation authority will consider increasing
international flights as long as the risks of importing coronavirus cases are
under control, the state-run China News reported Wednesday, citing the agency's
deputy director Li Jian.
The maximum number of currently authorized international
flights is 134 a week, under restrictions imposed on March 29 to prevent cases
of the new coronavirus from being imported.
The figure, however, would be increased to 407 a week
starting June 1, Li from the China Civil Aviation Administration said.
