Georgia State Senator Colton Moore announced earlier this
week his intention to run for the 14th Congressional District seat in the U.S.
House of Representatives. His announcement comes as current Representative
Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is expected to resign in early January, leaving
the seat vacant.
Moore explained that his decision stems from what he
considers a crucial moment for conservative leadership in Washington. In a
statement to Breitbart News, he asserted that former President Donald Trump
needs strong allies in Congress.
“Today I am announcing my candidacy to represent Georgia’s
14th Congressional District because President Trump needs a fighter in Congress
who will not back down or sell out,” the senator said, emphasizing that his
campaign will focus on an unwavering defense of the Trump agenda.
