Albany, New York— A shocking case has shocked public opinion
in the United States after Lorenz Kraus, a 53-year-old former presidential
candidate identified with radical positions within the Democratic Party,
admitted in a television interview that he murdered his own parents almost a
decade ago and hid their bodies in the backyard of his Albany home.
The shocking confession came during an on-camera interview
with CBS6 anchor Greg Floyd last Thursday. A day earlier, local police had
confirmed the recovery of human remains on Kraus's property, which, after
examination, were found to belong to Franz and Theresia Kraus, his parents.
According to authorities, the discovery followed an
investigation that had been ongoing for years, stemming from the couple's
unsolved disappearance. Kraus's revelation not only confirmed suspicions but
also raised new questions about his motivations and how he managed to keep the
crime hidden for so long.
The former presidential candidate was cold-hearted in his
recounting of the events, acknowledging that he himself buried his parents in
their yard after committing the double homicide. Albany police are now working
to gather evidence to formalize charges against him, while the news sparks a
profound public debate about Kraus and the underlying domestic violence that
has yet to be clarified.
