A member of the Ukrainian Parliament has called for
impeachment proceedings against President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, arguing that
such action is essential for the country's future leadership.
The lawsuit comes amid growing criticism of Zelenskyy's
handling of Ukraine's international standing following his contentious White
House meeting with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance last
week.
Zelenskyy's increasingly authoritarian approach and his
outright rejection of a proposed peace and rare earth minerals deal with the
United States have fueled concerns about his leadership as his foreign policy
missteps have left Ukraine increasingly isolated on the world stage.
As such, Ukrainian parliamentarian Alexander Dubinsky is
calling an emergency session to begin impeachment proceedings against
Zelenskyy, accusing him of diplomatic failures, losing Ukraine's
once-unquestionable support of the United States, and presiding over what he
described as the complete collapse of the regime.
