The Trump administration is considering broad travel
restrictions affecting citizens of 41 countries, according to a memo obtained
by Reuters. The restrictions are divided into three groups:
1. Full visa suspension: Ten countries, including
Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, Cuba, and North Korea, would face a full visa ban.
2. Partial visa suspensions: Five countries (Eritrea, Haiti,
Laos, Myanmar, and South Sudan) would see limits on tourist, student, and
immigrant visas, with some exceptions.
3. Conditional restrictions: Twenty-six countries, including
Belarus, Pakistan, and Turkmenistan, could face partial visa suspensions if
they do not address certain U.S. concerns within 60 days.
NOTE: A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity,
cautioned that the list could change and has not yet been approved by the
administration, including U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Reuters
reported.

Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen.
Partial visa suspension (tourist, student, and other

Countries recommended for partial suspension if deficiencies
are not addressed:
Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Belarus, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina
Faso, Cape Verde, Cambodia, Cameroon, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo,
Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Pakistan,
Republic of the Congo, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Sao Tome and
Principe, Sierra Leone, East Timor, Turkmenistan, Vanuatu.
