One of House Speaker Pro Tem Patrick McHenry's (R-N.C.) first official actions shortly after taking office following the ouster of Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was to take action against another former speaker. , Nancy Pelosi (D-California).

McHenry ordered Pelosi to leave her plush office immediately, adding that she would be “rescheduled” after she left.

“Please vacate the space tomorrow, room keys will be changed,” said an email sent to Pelosi's office that was seen by Politico. The email further noted that the room would be used “for speakers bureau use.”
