A pro-Trump attorney and former federal prosecutor brought a
serious charge of “prosecutorial misconduct” against Fulton County District
Attorney Fani Willis in a late-night court filing last week.
Sidney Powell, who was among a handful of lawyers representing
then-President Donald Trump who claimed the 2020 election was stolen from him,
argued in his 21-page filing that Willis's “indictment represents troubling and
unethical conduct by of the prosecutors.”
The filing, which contains nearly 200 pages of evidence,
also argued that Willis' office failed to present potentially exculpatory
evidence, The Messenger reported.
The Messenger noted: “Powell is charged with seven state
felonies in the wide-ranging voter racketeering case alleging a conspiracy to overturn
the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. She pleaded not
guilty."CBrief
