Israel calls up 300,000 reservists to defend itself against
Hamas.
On Monday, the Jewish state's top military spokesman, Rear
Admiral Daniel Hagari, said Israeli planes have been observing targets in Gaza
as ground forces work to recapture border cities and towns.
Israel says it will not stop until Hamas' military
infrastructure is dismantled.
Officials maintain that this task will likely include a
ground invasion and will take months.
