Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), enraged by the
Capitol's shady, completely disturbing, closed-door antics, unleashed a
scathing twelve-and-a-half-minute dissection of the corruption she encountered.
At an informal garage gym familiar to those who have
followed her weightlifting videos, the Republican lawmaker lashed out in a
video posted elsewhere about the absurd spending bills that have been thrown
together in a desperate attempt to win approval. to send additional funds to
Ukraine. .
“Yesterday they brought to the plenary session a defense
bill that included $300 million for Ukraine. I told them all week, 'I'm not
going to vote for $300 million for Ukraine,'” Greene told her viewers. "I
would love to vote on that bill without the money from Ukraine, but no, they
didn't take it out."
He repeatedly called on his colleagues to strip Ukraine of
funding for a desperately needed defense spending package.
However, congressional leaders refused, ignoring urgent
calls from Greene and other members like Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who asked for
the same thing.
