A prominent Republican has a plan to topple the Democratic majority in the Senate next year by ousting one of its longtime incumbents.

Dave McCormick said Thursday that he believes he can be a “force for good” as he tries to defeat Democratic Sen. Bob Casey in what will undoubtedly be one of the most closely watched elections of the year.

McCormick, a former hedge fund executive, West Point graduate, Gulf War combat veteran and Treasury Department official in former President George W. Bush's administration, launched his second consecutive campaign for Senate on Thursday. ”Fox News Digital reported.
