Malaysia's prime minister left alone

The most important political party in Malaysia, an ally of the coalition in the Government, announced last night that it was withdrawing its support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, and demanded his resignation for his management of the covid-19 pandemic in the country, which adds the country in a new political crisis.

The president of the United Malays National Organization (UNMO), Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said in a statement released on Thursday that the prime minister has not complied with the conditions imposed by UNMO to support him by failing to promote the economic recovery or slow down the covid-19 pandemic.
