Burmese government calls for an end to its isolation and asks the UN for help

Faced with the marked position of the foreigner against the deposition of the Burmese government, elected under a consistent suspicion of illegality, the country faces an unsigned, but practiced isolation.

Given the above and aware that it is necessary to join forces with other nations, the Government of National Unity (NUG) of Burma, opposed to the military junta, requested urgent humanitarian assistance from the United Nations to tackle the crisis derived from the expansion of the covid -19.

The NUG, formed after the coup by politicians and activists opposed to the military regime, calls for emergency help to deal with the current wave of the virus "out of control with the daily death toll on the rise due to the mismanagement of the military junta ", he pointed in a letter to the UN published last night.
