19 dead in protests against tax reform in Colombia

 

 

The tax reform of the Colombian Government has originated a series of demonstrations, which in turn begin in a people tired of government decisions against their rights.

 

The Colombian Ombudsman's Office raised to 19 the number of people who have died during protests against the government's tax reform, which began last Wednesday and also leave some 800 injured.

 

"According to the records kept by the Ombudsman, so far there are 19 deaths in Valle del Cauca, Bogotá, Neiva, Cali, Soacha, Yumbo, Ibagué, Madrid (Cundinamarca), Medellín and Pereira," the entity said in a statement.
