The Florida House, after an extensive debate during the day on Wednesday, issued a resolution that denounces the "democratic socialism" immersed in American politics and reaffirms the values of individual freedom, constitutional democracy and private property, as indicated the fathers of the country.
The House adopted the resolution (HR 145) with a vote of
79-36. Republican Representative Tom Fabricio de Miramar is the sponsor of the
resolution and in public statements he said:
"This is a message from the Florida House of
Representatives to say that we support our economic system, progress and our
system of government," reported local media Florida Politics.
It is no coincidence that this resolution was taken in Florida,
a state where socialism and communism have become a topic of current political
conversation, due to the huge Latino electorate in the region, where
communities of Cubans, Venezuelans and other countries predominate. Latinos
where socialism has wreaked havoc and their citizens have been forced to leave
what little they had along with affections and families to try their luck in
countries with greater freedoms such as the United States.
