More than a year after the “15 days to slow the spread” lie, the Biden Administration is broadcasting that Americans will finally be able to remove their masks - that is, only if they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
released guidelines Tuesday to relax masking for fully vaccinated Americans.
The guidelines say that vaccinated Americans can be outside
without a mask, unless they are in a crowded space. However, they still
recommend masks for indoor public settings, even while vaccinated.
The freedom of the mask is not the only incentive now
offered to drive vaccination. European Union (EU) countries may begin allowing
vaccinated Americans to travel this summer.
"Because one thing is clear: the 27 member states will
unconditionally accept all those who are vaccinated with vaccines approved by
the EMA," said Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission.
The EMA, or European Medical Association, has approved all three vaccines that
have been administered in the United States (Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson &
Johnson).
