Russia's chief negotiator has reported on the agreements reached with Ukraine

 


Russia's chief negotiator for the conflict with Ukraine, Vladimir Medinsky, has revealed the details of the negotiating table.

"Direct talks with the Ukrainian side, held at the initiative of the Russian president, have just concluded," he reported.

Medinsky also said that overall, Russia is satisfied with the outcome and is ready to continue the talks, and he outlined the agreements reached.

He said the prisoner exchange was discussed: "In the coming days, Russia and Ukraine will carry out a large-scale prisoner exchange: 1,000 for 1,000."

Regarding the leadership-level talks, the Russian negotiator explained that

Ukraine requested direct talks between the heads of state of both countries. Russia has therefore acknowledged this request.

Regarding the ceasefire, both sides agreed that they will prepare and present their respective visions for a possible ceasefire. For this purpose, each side will detail its proposal.
