The Bolivian government hurts ratification by the OAS of electoral fraud

Bolivia on Wednesday accused the OAS Secretary General before the countries of the Americas of "interference" for ratifying that there was fraud in the Bolivian presidential elections of 2019.

In a statement on August 9, the OAS Secretariat for Strengthening Democracy, reporting to Almagro's office, reiterated "a malicious manipulation" of the results of the 2019 elections in Bolivia, and dismissed a study by the University of Salamanca requested by the Bolivian Prosecutor's Office that had ruled out electoral maneuvers.

"Luis Almagro's positions are acts of interference in internal affairs, which we do not accept and denounce," said Bolivian Foreign Minister Rogelio Mayta during a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS).
