Watch for the Americas, published a preliminary list of detainees and
disappeared in Cuba after the days of protests
"Preliminary lists of detainees already include about
400 people." While the whereabouts of many of them are unknown.
"In other cases, the security forces have arbitrarily
detained ordinary people who peacefully participate in the protests, as well as
passers-by," Vivanco denounces, noting that the repressive organs have
also gone to look for protesters at their homes. after supposedly recognizing
them in photos or videos.
"We have received credible reports of beatings to
people both during detention and once they were already in detention."
