The opposition National Unity on Thursday urged the
Nicaraguan authorities to give proof of the life of their leader and aspiring
to the Presidency Félix Maradiaga, who has been arrested for a month without
knowing his location, and without being seen by his relatives or lawyers. , for
which he called that arrest a "forced disappearance".
In a statement, the National Unity accused the
"dictatorship of Daniel Ortega" of resorting "to illegitimate
and illegal mechanisms to produce fear and terror" four months before the
general elections - in which the president will seek his fourth and third
