When the state of alarm ends on June 21, movement
restrictions will be lifted and it will be possible to travel freely throughout
the country. A special plan of hygiene and socio-sanitary prevention norms will
be in effect in the country from that moment (subject to approval by Congress).
Although the borders will still be closed to international
tourism until July 1, the reopening and freedom of movement will save part of
the important summer campaign.
The Balearic Mediterranean archipelago will implement a
pilot plan to resume foreign tourism in Spain in the second half of June, which
will allow the staggered arrival and with security measures of a maximum of
10,900 travelers from Germany.
After the state of alarm, decreed on March 14 to contain the
spread of coronavirus, the country will enter the call for the Executive
"new normal", while the health crisis lasts, until there is an
effective therapy or vaccine, according to the Minister of Health, Salvador
Illa.
Therefore, according to the Government, the measures try to
prevent any outbreak, once the spread of the disease is practically controlled
and Spain gradually recovers socioeconomic activity. (EFE)
