Moulton advierte que las acciones de Trump contra narcos podrían derivar en violencia contra ciudadanos estadounidenses

Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton issued a serious warning regarding President Trump's tactics in the fight against drug trafficking. According to his statements, the president has ordered extreme actions—such as the destruction of vessels linked to drug trafficking—under the pretext of strengthening national security.

For Moulton, however, these types of measures open the door to an even more worrying scenario. The congressman stated that if the government justifies the use of lethal force against unknown individuals in waters near U.S. territory, it would not be unreasonable to fear that Trump could extend that logic to citizens of the country itself. This statement was almost immediately rejected by the public.

“If this is happening off our coast with people of unknown identity,” Moulton said, “what guarantees do we have that Donald Trump won’t decide to act in the same way against people we do know here, on our own soil?”

His comments have ignited a political debate about the limits of executive power and the risk that actions against organized crime could lead to broader abuses. While the public is aware that this debate was initiated and will be fueled by extreme leftists who criticize everything President Trump does and says, the debate remains largely unresolved.
