Johnson Announces Legislative Approval to “Unleash the Energy Potential” of the U.S.

House Speaker Mike Johnson provided an update following the passage of the Unleash Our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2025, a bill championed by the Republican majority that seeks to reverse what they describe as the “catastrophic ban” on liquefied natural gas (LNG) implemented during the administration of former President Joe Biden.

The initiative, passed in the Republican-controlled House, aims to revive and expand LNG production, exports, and infrastructure development, arguing that this energy source is key to economic competitiveness and national security.
